The Macrorie Fitness Centre
The Macrorie Fitness Centre was established in the Fall of 2003. It is located in the Old Brick School. There is fitness equipment suitable for all ages. Come and try out: 2 treadmills, 2 stationary bikes, 1 elliptical machine, 1 central weight training centre with 3 separate work-out stations attached, dumbbells ranging from 3 lbs all the way up to 60 lbs. There is also numerous work-out videos are available to use, and a cd/cassette stereo to keep the beat! The gym is available to use 24 hours a day, seven days a week at your convenience. Memberships beginning October 1st, 2004 – September 30, 2005 are $120.00/person/year or $200.00/family/year. Memberships purchased before October 2004 are available at $15/month. Guests are always welcome at the gym for $3/visit when accompanied by a paid member. If you are not being accompanied by a paid member, please contact Christine Torvik at 306-243-2127 or 306-867-8680 or Faye Prentice at 306-243-2086 to gain access to the facility. Please feel free to come out and take a tour of our facility! We believe we offer the amenities of the big city right here in the country!

The Macrorie Mavericks
2004 Coteau Hills Baseball League Champions!

The Macrorie Mavericks senior men’s baseball team is a member of the Coteau Hills baseball league. League play begins at the end of May and continues through the summer, with playoffs ending near the end of July. Teams consist of Macrorie, Beechy, Elrose, Dinsmore, Tugaske, The King George Kings, and 2 teams from Kindersley. Macrorie hosts an annual 6 team Sports Day at the sports grounds every year with a licensed beer gardens and food concession on site. Ending the day off a dance is held in the rink. League play is on Tuesdays and Thursdays with games beginning at 6:30 p.m. Come out and cheer on the Mavericks!

The Macrorie Magnums
The Macrorie Magnums is the senior men’s rec hockey team. They play in a rec league which includes team from: Hawarden, Loreburn, the Outlook River Rats, the Outlook Old Stocks, Hanley, Wiseton, Lucky Lake, Milden and Conquest. Games are played throughout the winter months and tournaments are held on the weekends.

Macrorie 4-H Club
Macrorie has an active 4-H club for children of all ages. Come out and meet new friends and learn life-long skills! Each year there is an annual 4-H Light Horse Show at the Sports Grounds, where the students get to show off their animals and what they have learned over the past year. Macrorie Figure Skating Club
A great club to get your child enrolled in. From beginners to dance, the Macrorie Figure Skating Club has skill levels for all ages. A certified instructor teaches the students the fundamentals of the sport. A Carnival is held at the end of the year to allow the kids to show off what they have learned. This is a great way to introduce your toddler to skating!

Golf Course
Macrorie hosts a small, sand greens golf course located south of the sports grounds. Every year the annual Gopher Hill Classic is played on the course followed by a steak supper.

Macrorie Curling Club
The Macrorie Curling Club has a mixed square draw league from January to March. With a two-sheet artificial ice surface, curling is enjoyed by people of all ages! Macrorie hosts several curling tournaments throughout the winter. The open spiel is enjoyed by people from in and around the Macrorie area. A closed spiel is held at the end of the year for all curlers who participated in the square draw throughout the winter. At the end of the year, the curling season is closed off by the annual “Rock n’ Rye” tournament. Steak supper is enjoyed by the curlers before the tournament, and curling commences well into the wee hours of the morning! Each Wedneday throughout the season, the Macrorie rink committee holds a community supper with delicious food served to many of the local residents.
